The Story
Burke Lake Park is my favorite park in Northern Virginia. It's the ultimate outdoor recreation park. When I go, it feels like a vacation even though it's not far from home. The biggest draw is the lake. You can bring your kayak or rent a boat. The train is a must-see attraction, it takes you through the woods and park. If that's not your style, you can always walk or bike on trails around the lake. If you're into sports, Burke Lake has an 18-basket course. They've got driving ranges, a golf course, and even mini-golf. If you're into food, they've got an ice cream parlor but also many BBQ grills if you like to DIY. You should visit, cook up some burgers, and play volleyball with your friends.
