The Story
There are cubes at the Perch in Tysons, Virginia. First, we got Echo Green. Patricia Leighton tried to visually and contextually elevate nature. The living vegetation is a variety of sedum and succulent plants that change with the seasons. The regenerating sculpture shows the interdependence of nature and culture.
This next one is Patrick Stewart's 32 Corners. It is an interactive sculpture consisting of four cubes arranged in a manner and scale to create an immediate perceptual and physical experience through its movement. 32 Corners exist in equilibrium with gravity.
